Four of six leaded glass windows for the chapel at Community Memorial Hospital, Ventura, CA. Commission included a free standing wall of kiln-fired gold luster on heat altered optical glass with wood support. The concept relates to Central Coast land and sea life and features a variety of opaque and transparent glasses and photo glass decals. The work is about perception, rendering various levels of visibility, from purely transparent to opaque. This glass environment offers a thoughtful visual distraction from the possibly troubled environment of the hospital situation.
