Finishing up my piece for Ojai Visions. My studio buddy, Freya, keeps my mood upbeat with her quiet companionship and waggy tail! Our daily walks in Oak View yielded the inspirational photo and plant cuttings seen on my panel.
I hope I captured the beauty of this Bottlebrush plant, one of the many colorful plants growing in the Ojai Valley. The bees love the blossoms and I in turn benefit from the beeswax (main ingredient in Encaustic)- a win-win!
