I've just finished a new painting inspired by the Taft Gardens here in Ojai. I spent time there last spring and being there reminded me of my childhood in the East End of Ojai. Surrounded by Oak Trees, birds, dirt and plants in the sunlight felt really good and nostalgic. One thing I really like is when hummingbirds buzz right over my head out in nature. It feels like magic is being performed just for me. So this new painting features a hummingbird, of course!
