I’m excited to invite you to experience the unveiling of the Prism Collection during the studio tour. This series of paintings was born from a transformative time in my life, marked by fear and uncertainty as I took a leap of faith through significant changes. After leaving a long-term relationship, I felt as if I had leapt off a cliff, grappling with grief and the unknown. Amidst this turmoil, I envisioned a journey from the dark depths of a kelp forest to the bright surface, symbolizing my decision to confront my fears and embrace the ocean.
Inspired by this vision, I sought to overcome my fear of the ocean through a free diving course. My first experience was terrifying; as I descended into the deep water, panic set in. But by practicing relaxation techniques and surrendering to the experience, I found peace and serenity. The transformative power of accepting the waves instead of fighting them became a healing force in my life, which I hope to share with you through the Prism Collection.
