A proud father recently approached me at my open studio, asking if I could do a commission of his son and the 1958 MG-A he meticulously restored. He began the project when he was just 15 years old. The car is a beauty - as is the family - and the painting was pure joy to execute. I used a variety of photographs to conjure the final painting but used one in particular that had three reflections of the driver in the silky smooth paint job. I'm told the son, who received it as a gift, was very pleased.
