I work with stained glass using specialized tools such as pistol grip razors, running pliers, nippers, and grinders to cut tiny pieces for mosaics. These tools allow me to handle and shape the delicate glass precisely and safely.
To ensure precision and safety while cutting small pieces, I rely on steady hand control combined with the right tools. Using pistol grip razors helps in making accurate score lines, while running pliers assist in cleanly breaking the glass along those scores. Nippers are used for more detailed shaping, and grinders smooth and refine edges to fit the pieces perfectly into the overall design.
I call it " a thousand cuts" because I fill in the tiniest sliver of a glass shard in between any spaces to make it look seamless.
I have always been obsessed with minatures and have created may curios with tiny objects. It adds incredible detail and precision.
