My artistic journey is a heartfelt exploration of identity, profoundly shaped by my roots in the vibrant tapestry of New Orleans. Growing up amidst the rich cultural influences and stories of my ancestors, one of whom was a renowned portrait artist, I am driven by a deep connection to the past.

As an honors graduate of Tisch School of the Arts, I channeled my passion for character and storytelling into a decade-long career as an award-winning director and screenwriter in New York, San Francisco, London, and Los Angeles. This multifaceted experience has led me down a new path where I can explore the human condition through a direct relationship with the canvas using only charcoal as a medium.

Through my hyperrealistic portraiture, I strive to transcend representation, aiming to capture the something ineffable, a glimpse at the soul within each individual. I invite viewers into a dialogue with the spirit of my subjects. Each piece is not just a portrait but a celebration of humanity, a testament to the beauty and complexity of every story I encounter.
